Days Like This Mitts
“When it’s not always raining, there’ll be days like this. When there’s no one complaining, there’ll be days like this…” – Van Morrison
These mitts are for everyday wear. Super stretchy, cushy and easy on the eyes.
Increases and Decreases
No matter which class I’m teaching, I like to give my students a handout that covers increases and decreases and how to knit them. It is nice to have them listed all in one place.
I have labelled them as either right or left-leaning, which can be helpful in choosing the proper stitch, whenever your pattern doesn’t specify which increase or decrease to use.
So, here is the PDF for you. Enjoy!
Teresa Legwarmers
Named these after my Aunt Teresa who is forever young. Also, I was a teenager in the ’80s and still think legwarmers are cool.
Entwife
In Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, the Entwives have sadly disappeared. Along with their husbands, the Ents, they were keepers of forests and gardens. These leafy mitts may remind you of them…
My Little Pumpkin
Cute little pumpkin. Can be used as a pin cushion or just a fall decoration. Little details make this a clean design.
Lovely Lace Hat Pattern
This hat should fit an average woman’s head. It also has a lot of stretch, so even those of us who have larger heads can wear it comfortably. It’s a very easy lace pattern. You are only working the pattern stitch on one out of four pattern rounds, so it offers good mindless knitting.
